ดอยแม่สลอง

เป็นที่ตั้งของ หมู่บ้านสันติคิรี ตำบลแม่สลองนอก อำเภอแม่ฟ้าหลวง เดิมชื่อ บ้านแม่สลองนอก ประชากรบนดอยแม่สลองเดิมเป็นชาวอาข่าอีก้อ ที่สวมชุดประจำเผ่าสีดำประดับเครื่องเงิน และยังมีผู้อพยพจากกองพล 93 จากสหภาพพม่าเข้ามาในเขตไทย จำนวนสองกองพันคือ กองพันที่ 3 เข้ามาอยู่ที่อำเภอฝาง จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ และกองพันที่ 5 อยู่ที่บ้านแม่สลองนอก เป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวแห่งหนึ่งของจังหวัดเชียงราย ที่เป็นพื้นที่ที่มีการปลูกชาที่ดีที่สุดของประเทศ และมีซากุระ หรือ นางพญาเสือโคร่งจะออกดอก ช่วงต้นเดือนมกราคม

ดอยแม่สลองวันนี้ ถึงแม่ว่าดอยแม่สลองจะเป็นดอย ที่อยู่กลางป่า แต่ก็มีสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกหลายอย่าง เช่น ร้านสะดวกซื้อ 7-eleven, ร้านอาหาร, ที่พัก, ธนาคาร, รถสองแถวไปยัง อ.แม่จัน, มอเตอร์ไซค์รับจ้าง ฯลฯ

• • ไร่ชา 101
    เป็นไร่ชาที่ใหญ่ที่สุดบนดอยแม่สลอง ปลูกเป็นขั้นบันได ลาดไปตามภูเขา ไร่ชานี้จะปลูกอยู่ 3 ชนิด คืออู่หลงก้านอ่อน อู่หลงเบอร์ 12 และชาสี่ฤดู ภายในไร่มีร้านค้าจำหน่ายชา มีชาให้ทดลองทาน
  • พระบรมธาตุเจดีย์ศรีนครินทราสถิตมหาสันติคีรี
    ตั้งอยู่บนยอดดอยสูงสุดของแม่สลอง ที่ระดับความสูง 1,500 เมตรจากน้ำทะเล ห่างจากหมู่บ้านสันติคีรี 4 กิโลเมตร ก่อสร้างเป็นเจดีย์แบบล้านนาประยุกต์ บนฐานสี่เหลี่ยมลดชั้นสูงประมาณ 30 เมตร ฐานกว้างด้านละ 15 เมตร ประดับกระเบื้องสีเทา ใกล้กับองค์เจดีย์เป็นวิหารแบบล้านนาประยุกต์ที่ตั้งของพระบรมธาตุฯ มีต้นนางพญาเสือโคร่งปลูกอยู่รอบพระบรมธาตุฯ บริเวณนี้เป็นจุดชมวิวที่สวยแห่งหนึ่งบนดอยแม่สลอง เหมาะสำหรับชมพระอาทิตย์ขึ้นทางขึ้นไปยังพระบรมธาตุฯ ทางค่อนข้างชัน แต่ถนนดี รถเก๋ง รถ Ecocar ฯลฯ ขึ้นได้หมด
  • สุสานนายพลต้วน นายพลต้วน ซี เหวิน
    อดีตผู้นำทหารจีนฮ่อแห่งกองพันที่ 5 กองพล 93 เป็นผู้นำความเจริญมาสู่ดอยแม่สลอง โดยตัวสุสานสร้างด้วยหินอ่อนทั้งหมด ด้านหน้าเป็นลาดเนินสีฟ้า มีตัวอักษร”ต้วน”ภาษาจีนสีทอง ตัวสุสานสร้างเป็นเก๋งจีนขนาดใหญ่สีขาวพื้นปูด้วยหินอ่อน มีแท่นบรรจุศพสร้างด้วยหินอ่อนบรรจุ ร่างนายพลต้วนไว้ภายใน  ด้านหลังแท่นบรรจุศพมีภาพถ่ายเก่าแก่เกี่ยวกับประวัติและผลงานของท่าน  ตั้งอยู่บนเนินเหนือหมู่บ้าน ระดับความสูงประมาณ 1,300 เมตร สร้างเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2523 บริเวณที่ตั้งสุสานยังเป็นจุดชมวิวของดอยแม่สลองได้
    
• • • สถานที่ชมดอกนางพญาเสือโคร่งบนดอยแม่สลอง
      ในช่วงประมาณสองสัปดาห์แรกของเดือนมกราคม เป็นช่วงที่ดอกนางพญาเสือโคร่งบานบนดอยแม่สลอง โดยจะเริ่มเห็นต้นนางพญาเสือโคร่งหลังจากผ่านพระสยามเทวาธิราชขึ้นไป ดอกนางพญาเสือโคร่ง หรือ ที่เรียกกันว่าซากุระเมืองไทย บนดอยแม่สลองจะมีทั้งดอกสีชมพูและดอกสีขาว สามารถชมได้ตามจุดต่อไปนี้1. ริมถนน 1234 หลังจากผ่านพระสยามเทวาธิราชขึ้นไป มีเยอะบริเวณร้านชา ทีเซ็นเตอร์ (101) บานสีชมพูริมสองข้างทาง2. แม่สลองรีสอร์ท ทางขึ้นจะอยู่ตรงโรงแรมซินแซข้างตลาดสดดอยแม่สลอง มีต้นนางพญาเสือโคร่งระหว่างทางไปรีสอร์ทและในตัวรีสอร์ท ทางขึ้น – ทางลงค่อนข้างชัน รถเก๋งสามารถไปได้ แต่รถโหลดไม่ควรไป3. สุสานนายพลต้วน มีดอกนางพญาเสือโคร่งสีขาว และ สีชมพู และเป็นจุดชมวิวที่สวยงามแห่งหนึ่งบนดอยแม่สลอง4. พระบรมธาตุเจดีย์ศรีนครินทร์สถิตมหาสันติคีรี มีดอกนางพญาเสือโคร่งบานสองข้างทางระหว่างทางขึ้นไปพระบรมธาตุฯ และเมื่อขึ้นไปถึงพระบรมธาตุฯ จะเห็นดอกสีชมพูบานพร้อมวิวภูเขาเป็นฉากหลัง สวยงามมาก นอกจากนั้นที่หลังพระบรมธาตุฯ ยังเป็นแนวต้นนางพญาเสือโคร่งปลูกเรียงรายกัน

  ใช้เส้นทางเชียงราย-แม่จัน เลยจากอำเภอแม่จันไป 1 กิโลเมตร มีทางแยกซ้ายไป 12 กิโลเมตร ถึงศูนย์พัฒนาและสงเคราะห์ชาวเขา เลยจากศูนย์ฯ ไปอีก 11 กิโลเมตร เป็นหมู่บ้านผาเดื่อ ซึ่งเป็นจุดแวะชมและซื้อหัตถกรรมชาวเขา จากนั้นเดินทางจากบ้านเย้าถึงบ้านอีก้อสามแยก ทางขวาไปหมู่บ้านเทอดไทย ส่วนแยกซ้ายไปดอยแม่สลอง ระยะทาง 18 กิโลเมตร รวมระยะทางจากเชียงราย 42 กิโลเมตร เป็นทางลาดยางตลอดสาย และจากดอยแม่สลองมีถนนเชื่อมต่อไปถึงบ้านท่าตอน อำเภอฝาง จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ระยะทาง 45 กิโลเมตรเส้นทางขึ้นดอยแม่สลองค่อนข้างคดเคี้ยว โค้งตลอดทาง แต่มีโค้งหักศอกไม่มาก ถนนไม่ชันมาก รถเล็ก Eco Car Nissan March, Honda Brio, Vios, City สามารถขับขึ้นได้อย่างสบายๆ
